Northeast Nebraska and Candelaria Philippines | Yes, we had to add a new service, which we did ourselves too. We have an existing 225 Amp panel at that site, but needed to add an additional 225 amp panel both due to being over on amps and short on spaces in existing panel. There are already several buried conduits on that site, and it was a mess to find them and avoid them. So we layed in extra conduit so we hopefully will NEVER have to dig near that transformer again. Our long term plan includes 3 more 48 ft bins 2 of them in the 16-20 ring size and a grain leg. We have the wiring infrastructure in to support that. One of those extra conduits is a empty 3 incher so if we need to put in another service in the future we can. We learned a lot about the "electrical business" doing this project. For example, we were short 1 30 amp 3 pole breaker, since it wasn't on the "special project order" they charged us $499 for it. We complained, and got them down to $399... |
