Sunnyside, WA | I like the accuracy of having to deal with numbers only once. I have our breeder entering the heifer breedings for the last year and it has really cleared up the wrong number syndrome. It would be nice to have the breeder enter his own info behind the cows.
As far as vet check, not sure what its going to save for us. We have one marking and one with the vet, and I plan to keep it that way since the loose cows get marked and it seems to keep us moving with the vet. I do think it will make us more accurate and save me the hour plus it takes to enter all the info after every check. It also makes it nice to find cows in the wrong pens.
Otherwise the wands will be used for all other list work in the headlocks. I may combine 2-3 different shots into one day, thus freeing up that person one day per week to do other jobs.
