Ya, if this crop would have been planted on time - we'd be looking at corn prices in the $3's easily.
 In addition to drought stress, comes the added possibility of  "easier" hard Freeze .. . .  No moisture in the soils/plants allow the cool nights to get COLDER . . . . Of course this is for the mid-northern corn growing areas, not deep south or south eastern areas.
