Great looking milo!!

If you don't mind my asking, and please take no offense at the question, but what are your thoughts on why you raise milo? I ask because I am considering planting it again myself, and would like the perspective of someone who continues to grow it. We moved away from it in 2007, due to the ethanol plant opening in our town, and it was easier to haul corn a couple miles, versus moving the milo to St. Louis. At the time we quit, our milo APH was very close to our corn APH without the wide swings that we see in corn yields. Seed cost is a definite benefit, but I'm a little concerned about weed control, as waterhemp has become our primary issue. We have some ground that I believe is more fit to raise milo on than corn (we farm both flat and rolling claypan soils). Had a few years where corn did really well, but seem to be back to reality the last two and think that maybe we need to look at reducing some risk.
