Off topic but its a thought that comes up often, a friend told me that labor wasn't a serious cost for manufactures and surface coal mines...If that the case, I would enjoy some of that during the winter.
Sure... that is why they are all moving to China and Mexico... ;) I'm sure the environmental stuff and ease of going and just building something is attractive, but so is all those people who want to work.
From the little I know about coal mining, the cost of moving the overburden is the main factor in cost, but I think what I said holds true for manufacturing. |
