| If the average age of farmers is 56 years old how many of these guys are doing the same as what happened in the 80's? A group of us younger guys have talked about this very thing many times wondering if they actually learned a lesson. Greed has overcome this buisness so bad that an old timer told me once a few years ago when i first started and i asked him. (after many times hearing from many different local growers in the area that there is no money in this farming game) Marvin why do you do it if there is no money in farming and why am i trying to do it ? He replies - Well Jeff its a way of life its what we do and you have to love it! And if possible explain to me how the mentality has went from this to ( I dont really care what mine does. It's insured)
