SW MN and Gold Canyon AZ
highest yield I ever had was a LL bean there is no yield drag.LL beans are cheaper to buy.
You are confusing yield drag when RR beans first came out vs new traits now,,whole different ball game. back then it was hit an miss poke and hope at the genes to insert the trait, now its precise gene insertion. So now you can insert the trait into the newest lines of beans and have hundreds of parent lines quickly. back then it was backcrossing and crossing a few lines cause you had 1 parent line with the trait to start with.. The delay in releasing 24d,or banvel or balance beans only means there will be more varieties to select from and more supply when it does hit commercial ..When they come out I will be comparing them to 19RA02 which I beleive is the best bean in sw mn. bar none.
