Don't!!!!!!!! They don't do what they say. They hide things in the lease. Get a lawyer that knows windmills to read ANYTHING you are thinking about signing. Brother-in-law was asked to sign for an easement for buried transmission lines within 50 feet of road right -of-way and took papers to lawyer and they had buried in the middle of a this 25 page lease the right to put 3 windmills on the rest of the 40 acre parcel! No personal experience, but many friends in neighboring townships tell me the same thing. Before they put them up, townships where told how much more tax money would be coming in. Now that all these windmills are up (started building them only last September) they went to the state tax tribunal and argue how windmills are assessed so the taxes may end up being one quarter of what they said before approval was given.
