Subject: RE: Chemical used on railroad tracks?

NW Washington
I visited with some folks that did contract spraying for the railroad and they used a fairly sophisticated computer controlled rig that carried several herbicides and just water in the main tank and mixed on the run to do what needed to be done. But using those wide path boom nozzles can cause cause some problems. This companies trucks were set up to run on the rails like the railroad maintenance trucks.
I think they use some soil sterilants too in their mix. Oust is a chemical that comes to mind too.
