S.E. Nebr. | The last time I had .30 hogs was the end of 2001 pretty much all of 2002 except for a couple of summer months then till May of 2003. The price went up during the summer of 2003 but back down to the 30's end of year till early spring of 2004. But feed was cheap back then. A whole new ball game now. If it takes that long again to recover with these feed prices won't be many left. I'm hoping by summer things will be looking up. Alot of sows going to market right now. Demand overseas is good but prices don't show it. This is going to be an interesting year in grains and livestock. | |
