We have our strips done by our local co-op. They run a Deere 2510S with a big cart in the fall. Seems usually leave a good strip in the fall that mellows out in the spring, but I think they did it when the soil was a little wet this last fall. The strips were still pretty big this spring. Also, it requires Deere's biggest 4WD for the 16 row. 560R. We are kicking the idea around of maybe having a neighbor do a few acres with his Progressive bar. It has no cart and can be done with a row-crop tractor. I used a Soil Warrior last fall, and I was super impressed with the strips, and it would definitely be a good spring machine.
