| I don't think any of the three operators had a solid market plan from the get go. The fish mortality was a problem, and the better of the three operators were more geared to corn and soybeans, not animals. They realized that having an animal production eneterprise was a 24/7 deal. It's not like the plant it and forget it they were accustomed to.
Overseas markets probably had some bearing on their operation. I think the take away here is, you better have a marketing plan BEFORE you jump into any niche market.
