Subject: RE: Handling Loose Hay with a loader

Culbertson, MT
I think a grapple would work fine. I personally have never used anything but a grapple, loose hay to chopped to big round bales, and on eveything from the Farmall M-Farmhand F-10 to the JD7800/740. 1 question- what kind of loader/bucket are you using now? That might dictate what for a grapple. I think the new setups (4-tine that close to near the cutting edge of bucket) are far better than the old Farmhad 3 tine setup. Come to think of it, the WHite 1840QA loader dad had, had the 3 tine as well; it didn't pick up loose stuff quite as well.
