I think the last firmware version for the FMX disabled EZ-Boom capability. Otherwise, no unlock was required. When I plugged my EZ-Boom into the 500, the display just recognized it and new menu screens appeared to let you configure required settings. I think the FMX would do similar with older firmware.
will FMX still control EZ Boom?
