I use it either in the spring or fall. It could be used during irrigation season but the material would have to be gravel so it wouldn't make more mud.
I have run sand, cinders, crushed rock and pit run through it but like I mentioned it has to be DRY and I do mean DRY.
What is a normal rut to you? If you have a 14.9 rut a foot deep it doesn't go far at all.
