| I have both. The single lid is easier for getting larger tools in & out of but after some use to get harder to open /shut, one side or the other won't latch or unlatch so you have to walk around to that side. Single lid is easier to open when the lid is covered with snow. It also gives you a place to mount the FM ant. Biggest thing I don't like about the double lid is you can't slide the parts tray out of the way to get things out from under it so you end up having to take it out to get to anything under it. The 2 lid is on my "go to town" truck so I don't use it that much but for a work truck where you're in & out of the tool box alot I'd recommend the single lid.
