western iowa,by Denison
the nice thing about a cheap shed over top Jim is when the cattle are riping the bales apart theres no loss of hay from getting wet-another savings-I would like to see the cattle locked out and only get access to hay about 6 hours a day-kinda like how we use to feed fat cattle in the winter-we had them penned out to the 20 acre cornstalk field all winter and feed out in the field-at 9am we open the gate and let them come in to get hay out of our hay shed-then at 2-we kicked them back out and shut the gate-it was a sight seeing 400 head of yearlings coming in a 16ft gate hole to get a bite of hay every day-then when spring came we would shut the gate-and would move the cattle to there feedout pen-1 reason my dad locked them out is He didnt like to haul manure
