Cherokee Co., Iowa | I know dynamite isn't the answer for your stump removal but in years past there were a lot of stumps removed with dynamite. There was a gentleman in our area that was in his glory when he was lifting stumps out. He would take a look at the stump and decide how many sticks it would take and then I'm not to sure but what he would double it. He had an iron rod a little bit bigger than the sticks and with using water he would poke several holes under the stumps, drop in the sticks of dynamite and tamp a little dirt in the last few inches of the hole wire every thing together depending how many stumps and with one push on the generator, wood, roots and dirt would be high in the air. Probably not be political correct in this day and age. | |
