Blue Grass (Eastern IA) | I'm in the same boat as you. I injected liquid (29-94-90-.4zn-.1b) 5-6" deep with a "nitro" tool bar this fall. It has trash whippers, followed by a coulter, then a shank with a knife similar to anhydrous, with covering disks. They bring a nurse truck for me to fill from. The product will settle out after a few hours. I have to agitate the truck before filling the applicator, and I have to empty the applicator each night because it has no agitation.
I had been dribble banding this product in the past. But am concerned that most of the P is staying on top. I have heard that P can only move down 1/4 - 1/2" per year in no till. I am hoping that I have done more good than harm to my long term no-till soil by disturbing it. The jury is still out. |
