| 62-97 does not move south of Kentucky very well so that hybrid would be out although it is a good corn behind corn option from ky north. 66-97 has just about the best disease package of anything around. Semi fixed ear so keep pops up on real good soil. 67-58 is another good choice behind corn in a bottom. That was actually the first corn to break 300 bu in Tennessee NCGA contest so plenty of top end, but showed toughness where it needed to this past year. Another new corn to this area is 69-29 and I'm here to tell you that thing is a beast. Has done very well in both high and low yield environments and has an awesome disease package. That would be another good choice. 64-69 has been a popular choice in west tenn but not my first choice behind corn. It's twin brother 65-19 would be another good choice corn after corn because it has a better disease package. Also NK 72Q has very good disease ratings on gls so outside of Monsanto, that might be my choice. Just my opinions. | |
