I really wish there was a viable competitor to ebay.  I haven't done much other than a few small purchases lately, but talking to friends who do a lot of buying and selling on ebay it seems ebay is trying very hard to shoot itself in the foot.

I have a friend whose business is entirely online, a major part through ebay.  2 negative  comments out of 150+ ebay sales in a month cost him ....well I won't say how much, but enough he is pursuing other ways of marketing his products.

He says ebay keeps changing the requirements as well as what he is allowed.  He has spent all summer updating photos and item descriptions to meet new requirements.  They didn't add any value, but had to be changed.  I'm told ebay is trying to distance itself from the little sellers that made it what it is to become a "marketplace"
