There's nothing wrong with shopping around for a home loan, is it....... including looking at closing costs.

Take time and go talk with them.  Get their closing costs in writing, so you know you are comparing "apples to apples".

Then, if you decide to stay with your hometown bank.....  at least you know.

I bought my home 20+ years ago, so I don't know if my numbers would be valid.  I know that I had a list of items in the closing costs, but I don't know the exact amounts - without looking them up.
