IL. | Always, Always ,get lien waivers from all suppliers AND the contrator, ALL involved, if not someone could come back on you later, dont settle for just one from the contractor, not worth the paper it's on, I had a contrator build a garage for me yrs. he did a crappy job and I wanted it fixed right!! he got a lawyer and said he was going to sue, I said fine it's not worth a court battle, so just get me all the lien waivers for all suppliers PLUS yourself and I will pay and I set a dead line and after that I was going to deduct so much of the payment for everyday late. LOL he was pissed but got the last one to me on the last day!! I sent him a check it was worth it to make him work for it, PLUS you would not believe how many waivers came back stateing FOR THIS JOB ONLY so he was in debt to lots of suppliers. good luck Bob | |
