| Bad idea..... I would not suggest doing this. First off you will not be able to work it in to the soil and will loose a lot of your N due to volitization. And you cant use a whole lot because otherwise will get "rank straw" and will lodge really bad. Stockpile the litter and use it on your corn. While you have time send a sample to the lab and find out what the analysis is. At best 1 ton is more than enough for wheat. Often times don't even like to use about 1/2 to 3/4 ton. What I'm using in my area usually runs 56-60 lbs of N per ton. | |
