I am partial to my Echo. I have never run a Stihl or a Huskie so I can't make a comparison. I do know the newer saws with faster engine speed will out cut my older Homelite super XL saws by a long shot, but I still love the sound of the super XL.
Old homelite super xl was the best saw I ever owned. If it didn't start by the third pull you just as well set it down and put gas in it cause that was about the only reason it wasn't running on the second pull!
Thought I needed a newer or bigger saw once so traded it in on a pioneer (never heard of them but dealer pushed it ) Had I been a little more seasoned at the time he would have had it back and me the old homelite before the end of the first day. |
