Tenn Valley
If you're drilling on 7 1/2 inchs, plant 18-20 seed per ft. Three tons of chicken litter is fine and addresses sulfur. Two ton ofchicken litter has worked here in the Tenn Valley. Wheat being a protein crop needs sulfur! Being in the South, I believe weed control is important. If you don't use a pre, apply Aim, Harmony or a phenoxy herbicide to take out your winter weeds - the sooner the better. With the use of chicken litter, you'll see more winter weeds.
