Subject: Re: POA for inlaws questions

Litchfield MN.
My father-in-law started to have falls a year ago. My husband and his brother were both POA and while my FIL was in the hospital and later nursing home, everything was slick with them taking care of everything. Actually, there were a couple of occasions where I brought the signed paper in hand and was able to continue to move things along because my husband and BIL were busy with farming.

Like everyone is suggesting, get it done, now! You and your wife should also have those arrangements for yourself, as well as the other areas suggested here. You never know.... My FIL passed away this past August and except for an investment account overlooked, everything stayed out of probate.

Mrs. Fefernuse

P.S. This winter, my husband and I are going to redue our will, etc. so things will be smooth for our boys.
