I am not minimizing the hardship of the plains farmers in the 30's ........but at the end of the story, when they said that 75% stayed, I was surprised that number was that high. I know during the early 80's, I'd be surprised if my area did retain that high percentage of farmers.............but i could be wrong...........:)
