Northeast Iowa | My preference would be to pay him for putting the 110v charger in his building, especially if it's only a short run for you to hook it to your fence. I faced the same situation years ago with a distant pasture and the retired guy who lived near it let me put my 110v charger in his barn. We ran about a quarter mile of wire to get to it and it worked slick. I talked to the company that sold the fencer and got an idea of what it should take for power each month, which was about $2 per month at that time. I'd always see the retired guy at dinner a couple times a week in town. A month later, he said, "My electric bill showed up over the weekend. It was $2-3 less than last month. If you have any more of those things, bring 'em over and plug 'em in!" | |
