It works for some scrap metal...it just depends on what your referring to. It can pick up a car or water heater with ease, worn out combine header sickle sections would take awhile...!
I took it to Joplin MO to help clean up after Hurricane Katrina. Our church took several machines there and moved the houses to the street to be dealt with. The grapple worked great for tearing up sub-floors, moving foundation walls, and even the nasty refrigerators that had three month rotten food.
