Subject: RE: JD 8320RT

Had an 8310RT, traded it on 8360RT. 8310 would handle a 7shank DMI in line ok, but we were not trying to cover ground, we were just going after some tough spots. Played with a 34' JD mulch finisher. We planted with it and you could just put it in auto and it would settle in about 1400 rpm and wasn't even working with a 16/32 1790. Put it on a 15 row 2410H nh3 applicator and it would not handle it at all. Had 24" tracks on it, traction was never a problem, just ran out of hp trying to step out with the nh3, would have never guessed those bars pulled so hard until we got one.

Put the nh3 on our 8345RT and it was better but we couldn't get up and run like we wanted.. Had a chance to trade the 8310 on a same age 8360RT that gave us more hp to pull the nh3 bar.

Dealer still has our 8310RT on the lot, most of the hours were on the planter and grain cart, should be an excellent tractor, about 700 hours.

If you have more questions email is in my profile.
