A single leg lock up will work just fine. I work at Kinze and remember that the old series push row units all used a single leg lockup design. We would occasionally use it on the rear rows for planting seed corn or other things. It was attached with a bolt, lock washer and a locking nut keeping enough pressure on the lockup so you could still flip it by hand.
