Scott City KS
I'm not sure what all kind of radishes there are out there, but the ones I've planted won't put much of a tuber on in the Spring.

Last year, I planted some Oats, peas, Safflower which has a pretty good taproot, and some Dwarf Essex Rape. The rape put on a pretty serious tuber on. It won't compete with the radish pictures posted in this forum, but it will do the most good of anything I know.

I don't know what your rotation is, but I've heard of guys planting radishes with winter wheat. But if you're going with spring planted crops, I'd do the rape.

I got it from Greencover Seed in Bladen NE.
