Looks like an easy way to tell who has good water and who doesn't. They do more good than harm here, create a lot of locks in the creek that sub irrigate quite well, every now and then they damn a ditch headgate but not hard to rip out with either a pitch fork or the hoe. Only issue is when they do it every night, usually just completely wipe out their near by damn and that s the end of that. Some of the largest dam's we have are wide enough to drive an ATV across and hold back a good 5+ acre feet. Abandoned beaver holes are a pain but most everyone knows where they all are now and where to not drive.
