Subject: According my google search:

According to my google search, at http://wrenchingnews.com/saak-auction-2011/catalog.html item # 569 a smaller picture collection is at:
http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd3/buswrench/saak-2011/VS-564-5...

> 0569. Lot of two: Fairly Common International Harvester Wrenches in Exceptionally Nice Condition > > (with original red paint)
> (1.) 1059B (IHC logo) / D - - 8.5" with six openings. (R1-251)
> (2.) P1599 (IHC logo) - - 12.5". Numbers and logo on right side, both debossed variant. (R1-255)

http://nationalihcollectors.com/MissouriNational%20Auction2011Items... says used on plows.

http://home.southwind.net/~donhaury/indy-auction-2007/catalog.html says "imp wrench"

Shows some prices, but no applications. Lots of sellers at tool and national auctions, I doubt 99.99% really know exactly what the wrench was made for. It would have to be searched out vintage tractor and implement owner's manuals and with as many as I found with:
http://www.google.com/search?q=IHC+p1599+wrench it may have been supplied with tractors, plows, and binders and it may well have been sold or given away to anybody who wanted one. The assortment of square and hex nuts it fits could be on all types of equipment.

One of the links I looked at did list a book of wrench history and a page, but I've not chased it down.

That book by Rathbone is available at:
http://www.rluckystarranch.com/wrench%20book.htm and other places, though some want 4 times his price.

http://www.worldcat.org/title/history-of-old-time-farm-implement-co... shows what world libraries actually have the book.
