I have a '04 Chevy HD 2500 & son has a '08 Chevy HD 2500. Both trucks have approx 85 - 90,000 miles on each. Sometimes it's almost impssible to turn the key in the ignition. Usually you have to "paly" with the key & turn it over several times to get it to turn. Is the problem the keys are getting wore or is it in the ignition switch itself? Would having a key made from the VIN #, not from the actual key, help?
