I bought a little slide scanner at Staples two or three years ago. It does 5 slides at a time, also negatives, cost about $70. Ended up doing about 2,000 slides. The scanner puts them on an S card (same as a digital camera uses), then put them on the computer and discs. It's designed for 35 mm, old 126 size worked well but the large 127 slides lost a lot around the edges. I was well satisfied with the results.
