Faunsdale, AL
Ran a 3830 for a long time. When we sold it to a friend, the base unit was in really good shape. Only had ever broken a steel hydrostat line or two and had to replace one drive tire the whole time we had it. Well, just remembered the AC ate a few compressors. They came with R12 and we converted to R134a. I think that compressor didn't like the liquid that tends to return in the suction much. Probably had it charged a little too full too. The ones I took apart to look had broken valve leaves in them. The piece of spring steel would get on top of the piston and lock the compressor up so it sheared out the rubber mounting on the clutch.

The header was pretty well worn. Had to put a lot of sheetmetal in it to get it to feed the short bermuda etc he wanted to cut.
