You could redrill your intake to fit on the non-Vortech, but you don't want to. GM make a huge leap with those heads and going back to your 1987 heads is stepping back into the dark ages. I also think the ports wouldn't match up right and it would wreck your flow even more.

In 1987 the domestic car companies were still digging out of the pollution regs from the 70's and trying to figure out EFI. Realistically, everything from that era was crap. Use your rebuilt heads for ballast or scrap.
