You mean the wasps? Cicada killer wasps seem to be immune to wasp killer sprays. Once they get their prey (cicada) they lay an egg in it and bury it. Their poinon only immobilized the cicada not kill it. The wasp larve eat them when they hatch. Ours were busy in June but are gone now.
