WC Iowa
we really like it on our two newest 8R tractors, Its kinda like the IVT transmission, at first i wasnt sure about it being that good of a deal then after a few days i wouldnt want to drive a tractor without it. I never thought the regular steering wheel turned hard until i ran the the 8335R with it then jumped into the 8320R without it, boy does that active steering turn easy and i love the smaller wheel. As for downsides I dont like it on hard ground at really slow speeds or when stopped like when you are backing stuff into a building with cement floors but then again everything with duals up front turn hard on cement... It does take a little while to get the feel of it since it does have just a slight hint of lag time sometimes. I wish they would put a sensitivity setting so you could have it in a manual type mode for certain things. otherwise i really like it. and our next one will have it also. I hope they put it on a combine someday soon.
