Faunsdale, AL | From my experience here over the last 25 years, I believe there is the potential for better results by delaying the use of MLV BVD vaccines such as Bovashield until the calves are bigger.
In times past, there wasn't a whole lot of choice, but I believe the Enforce 3 vaccine offers better. quicker protection against the likely respiratory pathogens with no BVD immunosupression. Once you get the calves doing well, then consider the use of a MLV vaccine including BVD.
