Clear Lake, IA | Goodyear DuraTracs or BFG AT-KO's. That being said you should have bought them a year ago and put them in the back of your shed. The big problem with durability in tires today is supply and demand. If you buy a tire size like a 275/65-18 that is very popular and often on nation wide backorder you are going to eat them up quick, doesent matter what they are, or what they cost. I bought a set of 285/75-16 and plowed snow with them and destroyed them in two winters. Same truck I ran 315/75-16's in the summer and they still look new. The 285's were backordered and when I got them you could press your thumb nail into the tread. and the 315's were full of dust and had a white film on them and they were HARD. Long story short is when a tire is fresh out of the mold it is soft and not aged up, this is the problem with tractor tires and stubble damage also. Just my $0.02 | |
