Subject: RE: Keeping Solenoid Valves Going 1 More Yr

Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND
I have no trouble with my solenoid sprayer valves since I fabricated covers from the top half of qf rectangular oil jugs.

They cover the entire valve down to the hose fittings. It keeps the coil and plunger dry and free from acid spray mist.
Before using the covers, I had problems with spray wicking down through the top adjuster screw threads and down into the plunger.
Once that corrosive stuff gets on the plunger, trouble follows quickly.
Keep them clean and dry and they will last for many years trouble free.
