is it strictly the coop that they buy from, or just not the farmer. surely there is another grain jockey that has grain going in there. MGP in atchison buys from the local farmer, but generally does not contract less than 10000 bu at a time. and even then, you are generally better going with a 3rd party that can pool bushels and acheive a better price. but we store prob 95 percent of grain, and i am thinking post harvest.. good luck with your dilema,
