It all comes down to the person doing the work. Ive seen so many cranks ground with incorrect tolerances, blocks that are polished to a mirror finish with a scotch brite pad. Most things that are done correctly will be better than what oem was. The other thing is with parts now days coming from overseas, they need to be inspected so closely that its hard to do because its hard to charge for it and its alot easier just to slap it in. Well this is where it ends up biting you. Every motor we do from a briggs to tractor to race stuff basically ends up blueprinted to make sure its all correct. It takes time to do it right and most people dont understand why it needs to be done, but its the only way to do it and not have it come back 2 days later as scrap. And most people want it to be cheap, and the only way is to do it cheap is to cut corners.
