I believe that remote switch would either be to send a remote master sense to the CAN switchbox on a sprayer, or for the proximity switch on a planter to detect if the planter is in the ground or not. The high current power on the node will be hot all the time, but that doesn't matter if nothing is happening. The logic power will be switched off with the field computer.
