Jackson County, AL
"Here" the best way to eliminate any trouble would be to have it secured at each eye individually for a total of four on the machine tracks. Secure the arm/bucket with two, preferably not crossed. If possible secure the machine with two more above the tracks at the back under the motor to prevent any more movement. Crossing chains is mostly discouraged on things that big because evidently some think there is a risk of the chains slipping apart and releasing? Pulling in opposite directions with two chains and binders on each point is preferred. All this being said most people here put two chains/binders on the tracks, curl the bucket and stretch one across the trailer over the top of the bucket. I would think this would be the minimum requirement. The other recommendations are the CYA against insurance, lawsuits, and trooper scrutiny version.
