Bought a JD 8130 last summer, would like to utilize the auto steer on it for planting. I am pretty green with the precision stuff, salesman says all I need is a 2630 and a receiver globe. I asked him what he would do if he was me, and he said he'd look for a 2600, but he wouldn't pay over $2K for one. I have seen several 2600's listed for sale, it appears that ~$3200 is the going asking price for them.

What is the real value of a 2600? Would the additional capability of a 2630 have any value in the future? He wants $5470 for a new 2630.
