Nevada, Iowa | The link provides a name David Somerville as the lead singer for the Diamonds. A search of Dave Somerville turned up a wikipedia link (I Know, I know) and that link reports one son born in '67 by the name David Orlando “Landa” Somerville (now also a singer/songwriter). I didn't see any mention of Hanks in that or any of two other links but I did blow through them pretty quickly. I could certainly see how someone might think he was Tom's Dad. Little Darlin' was a great song, classic doo wop!
